Where: Empire Hall, 3407 California Avenue, St. Louis, MO. 63118

What: BOOZART!  is a brew of mixologists, unique beverages and "spirits inspired" visual artists from around the area!

Since the end of prohibition in 1933, the United States has figured out a way to push the boundaries of their freedom! We've taken the basic moonshine and underground concoctions and have created a new level of unconsciousness.. ahem! consciousness. Booze and art are not a new combination, but at Boozart! you will see what it looks like when they infuse each other.

Craig Downs Presents
The Edgar Allan Poe Show

The Factory  1128 Washington Ave 10/12

164 years ago Edgar Allan Poe died under circumstances as mysterious as the tales he penned; today he is remembered as an innovator in the history of literature.  One of the first American writers to attempt to make a living solely from his writing, he is credited with inventing the detective story, giving the short story
credence in the literary world, and even with boosting the growth of the science fiction genre.  In his own
lifetime he was known almost solely as a literary critic.   Today he is most commonly remembered for his
macabre short stories of mystery and suspense, although he was also a poet, and a lyricist.
